Hi Raccoons and Families!
I want to wish everyone a safe, fun, and relaxing summer vacation! I know the
school year is always so busy for students and families, and while summer
schedules fill up, I hope you can enjoy a little extra downtime and flexibility
over the next couple of months.
Our School Year Kickoff Team has been meeting since January to ensure all our Raccoons have a successful start to the new year. While we don’t want to rush away time, we hope this early communication will help you plan ahead. Outlined below is information pertaining to all students and families about registration, picture day, schedule release, and information about the first days of school. This information is followed by grade-level details to help you have a successful start to the new year.
Counselor and Associate Principal assignments for next year have remained the same. Click here for contact information and to schedule appointments with our counselors. Please note that our counselors hold summer office hours and are available to meet on a limited basis over the next couple of months.
Finally, due to the construction project at Main Campus, all OHS operations
have moved to East Campus. If you plan to come in and meet with a counselor or
need to come to the office for any reason, you should come to East Campus at
915 Summit Avenue. We hope to move back over to Main Campus by August 19.
Have a great summer!
Jason

During your sophomore year, we focus on helping you become more grounded in your purpose so that by the time you schedule classes for your junior year, you are ready to commit and take advantage of all the programs and opportunities that exist at OHS.
In order to help support you and your family, our Career, College, and Life Readiness Day on October 15, 2024, is designed to give you a chance to visit a business in a career cluster that interests you, and have a college visit experience. At some point in September, you will review the structure of this day and options for your experience. Click here to start reviewing the trip and college visit opportunities we are providing and reach out to your counselor with any questions.
Following this experience, your counselor will reach out to provide more information on scheduling a one-on-one meeting with your family to discuss academic and career programming opportunities. This meeting will take place between late October and early January. Watch your email for details!
