Initial Back to School Information and Details for 2025-2026

Wednesday, June 11, 2025

Summer vacation is a time to unwind, have some fun, and seek a little balance in your life. I hope the upcoming months give you a chance to reconnect with family and friends and recharge your batteries for a new year filled with new adventures, opportunities, and experiences.

While the next few months are about fun and relaxing, it is also a busy time filled with vacations, jobs, camps, and other events. In order to help with your planning process, we want to make sure you have all the details about our Back to School 2025 operations and events.

Our School Year Kickoff Team has been meeting since January to ensure that every Raccoon has a successful start to the 2025-2026 school year. This letter is not meant to stress you out or rush away the summer; rather, it’s to help you plan and get excited for the next steps (or first steps!) of your high school journey.

Information in this letter includes:

  • Summer Contact Information and Counselor/Associate Principal Assignments
  • Registration, Picture Day, and Open House Details
  • First Week of School Information and Schedules
  • Grade Level Specific Transition Supports and Event Registration

Check out the information below and let me know if you have any questions!

I will see you all soon enough! Go Raccoons!

Jason

During your sophomore year, we focus on helping you become more grounded in your purpose so that by the time you schedule classes for your junior year, you are ready to commit and take advantage of all the programs and opportunities that exist at OHS.

In order to help support you and your family, our Career, College, and Life Readiness Day on October 14, 2025, is designed to give you a chance to visit a business in a career cluster that interests you and have a college visit experience. At some point in September, you will review the structure of this day and options for your experience. Click here to start reviewing the trip and college visit opportunities we are providing, and reach out to your counselor with any questions.

Following this experience, your counselor will provide more information on scheduling a one-on-one meeting with your family to discuss academic and career programming opportunities. This meeting will take place between late October and early January. Watch your email for details!
