Hi
everyone!
Homecoming Week is a special event in Oconomowoc. It unites our 13 different
communities, 8 schools across the district, and generations of Raccoons as we
show off our Ocon Pride. We recognize that OHS has been around for 142 years
and we are lucky enough to be part of more than a century of community members
lucky enough to call themselves Raccoons!
Like any party that we throw, it’s important that we are proactive. So, I need to thank our Student Council, our Student Council Advisors, and our Athletic Office for the months of planning that have gone into preparing for one of the biggest weeks of the year!
This year’s theme, Take Me Home, Ocon Roads! celebrates that no matter where our Raccoons head in the world, you can always find your way home to Oconomowoc. Let’s get ready to show our Raccoon Pride and recognize that we all play a role in making sure that Homecoming is fun and SAFE for everyone. Please read the details below and let me know if you have any questions.
Go
Raccoons!
Jason

We follow all community commitments and behavioral expectations throughout the week in our classes, during the school day, and at all after-school athletics or activities. Every year, events outside of the school day and our school-sponsored activities have the potential to affect the school experience. That includes the tradition of the unofficial TP wars.
Families,
we share the responsibility of holding our Raccoons accountable. While the week
is meant to be fun, we cannot tolerate destructive behavior, vandalism, and
other inappropriate acts in any way within our Raccoon community and the larger
community beyond OHS. Please call the police department if you have any issues
or concerns with student behavior outside the school day.
The Homecoming Pep Rally will begin around 8:50 a.m. in the Gale Douglas Fieldhouse on Friday, September 27. Families are encouraged to attend. Please arrive through the doors of the Gale Douglas Fieldhouse any time after 8:15 a.m.
This year’s Grand Marshals for the Homecoming Parade will celebrate our Building Trades 3 program. Our Grand Marshals will be representatives from Tim O’Brien Homes, Steve Olson, an incredible teacher who started our Building Trades program, and our Building Trades 3 alumni. With our theme, Take Me HOME, Ocon Roads, we wanted to honor our partnership with Tim O’Brien Homes and recognize that we have built 14 homes in our community with their support. We are excited to honor this partnership and recognize our alumni for having found their calling through our impressive Building Trades program.
