Hi Raccoons!
Just
like that, we are almost done with the school year! I want to express my
sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their support and trust this
past year. Regardless of the role we play in our community, we have so much to
be proud of! Over the next week, we will have the opportunity to celebrate our
accomplishments, set goals to overcome any challenges and come together to
honor our seniors as they graduate from OHS.
Below are several important details and reminders to help us close out the year and kick off our summer vacations. Please remember you can always reach out to me at CurtisJ@oasd.org or your counselor if you have any questions.
Have a
great summer!

schedule linked above. Seniors only need to come to graduation rehearsal
and are not expected to attend classes on Friday, June 7.

our exams are done, Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors are expected to
attend classes to make sure all work is completed, materials picked
up/returned, and to prepare for the transition to summer.
- Families of
current students can call the attendance office to have their child
excused to attend promotion and end-of-the-year ceremonies at other
schools. We will excuse these absences.
Term 4 Report Cards
- Report Cards
will be published on Monday, June 10. Any student receiving an incomplete
must complete their work by Monday, June 24.
- Final
transcripts for seniors will be available by Tuesday, June 11.
Lockers and Lost and Found
- Students
should clean out their lockers by Wednesday, June 5. Due to the
construction at OHS this summer, your lockers will not be accessible after
the last day of school. This includes your physical education, athletic,
and classroom storage lockers. Any items left behind on Friday afternoon
will be donated.
- Please also
check the lost and found for any items before Friday, June 7. Again, items
left at OHS after Friday will be donated.
Summer School

begin on Tuesday, June 11, at East Campus. If you have any questions,
please email Mr. Nelson (NelsonD@oasd.org).
- Students
enrolled in any of the O-Power classes (including O-Power for credit) this
summer, start class on Monday, June 10. Students should report to Rux
Stadium at their assigned times.
Over the next two summers, crews will continue working on the roof and HVAC replacement projects. In order to avoid any disruptions to the school year, we will maximize the summertime to complete these projects. Please note the following operational changes in order to support our crews:
- Main Office
Relocated to East Campus (Starting Tuesday, June 11)
- The OHS main
office and counseling staff will be relocated to East Campus starting on
Tuesday, June 11. If you need to come in and meet with anyone or take care
of any school business, please come to East Campus (915 Summit Ave). Our
office hours are 7am-3pm and we will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
- The only
areas accessible at Main Campus this summer are the Field House, OAC,
Tennis Courts, Greenhouses, and Weightroom. All other areas will be
closed for construction, including our classrooms, student services
office, and main office.
- Parking (Back
Lots Closed)
- The parking
lots in the back of campus are closed for the summer. Students coming to
O-Power or individuals accessing the tennis courts should park in the
South Lot.
- Individuals
coming to campus events at the OAC should continue to park in the North
Lot.
- Please follow
any signage and be mindful of construction crews on campus.
- Accessing the
Tennis Courts
- The tennis
courts will remain open this summer. When coming to campus to play
tennis, we recommend parking in the South Lot or at East Campus.
