Our next Career, College, and Life Readiness Day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022. As a reminder, Career, College, and Life Readiness Days are built into our schedule to provide Raccoons with experiences designed to help them prepare for life after high school. You can click here to view the details about our Career, College, and Life Readiness experiences, and how we use these days throughout the year to help live our core values of being grounded in our purpose, committed to our goals, and accountable to ourselves and each other!
Our freshmen and seniors are released from classes and do not have school on Tuesday, March 8. Make sure to take the time to catch up and prepare for midterm exams scheduled for next week. Freshmen, don’t worry, you will get your chance to participate in college-readiness assessments, and seniors, you will have post-high-school-readiness simulations on April 12. More details about both are coming in early March.
Sophomores—Report
to OHS (Pre ACT and College Readiness Expectations)
All sophomores will take the Pre ACT and begin initial preparations for taking the ACT exam next fall. We will use the results from the Pre ACT to design personalized and free ACT preparation programs that students will complete during Pride period next year. This diagnostic test will also give each student an indication of their academic strengths and areas for improvement as we head into the summer.
