Important Schedule Changes and Reminders

Friday, December 17, 2021

Hey everyone!

Before we head into winter break, I would like to just remind everyone of a few important items. Please check them out below:

Schedule Change (Professional Development Day switched to Tuesday, January 18)
As you may have heard, there was a calendar change that will impact our final exam schedule in January. Please see the details below:

  • Friday, January 14 is now a school day. Previously this was designated as a Professional Development Day.
  • Monday, January 17 is a non-school day to recognize the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.
  • Tuesday, January 18 is now a non-school day for teacher professional development.
  • Wednesday, January 19 will be the first day of the new second semester.

This means our term 2 exams will be on Thursday, January 13 (Blocks A and C) and Friday, January 14 (Blocks B and D). You can click here to review the exam schedule for each day. We will provide students the opportunity to take exams early, if they are missing January 14 because of a previously scheduled trip. Watch for details after break.

Even with these schedule changes, we still plan to publish report cards on Monday, January 25. However, we will let you know if something changes.

2022-2023 Scheduling Reminders
I sent out all the details about scheduling for the 2022-2023 school year in late November. Grade-level specific information is listed below. Please double check these communications just to make sure you are up to date on all the details.

Winter Break and Fiserv Forum
Winter Break starts on Wednesday, December 22 and classes resume on Monday, January 3, 2022. Our office will be closed during this time.

As a reminder, we kick off winter break with our boys’ basketball team playing Waunakee at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Wednesday, December 22 at about 1:15pm. Students who have a reservation on the fan bus are reminded to meet at the Gale Douglas Field House at 11:45am. It is general admission, so if you are not taking the bus, meet us down there. It will be such a fun way to kick off break!

I want to wish everyone a relaxing and fun winter break! I hope that everyone gets a chance to recharge as we head into 2022. It’s been a fun first half to the school year, and I look forward to seeing what comes next!

Have a great break and a Happy New Year!
Jason
