Your 24-25 Academic Schedule is Posted!

Wednesday, August 7, 2024

Hi Raccoons and Families!

Your 2024-2025 academic schedule was posted to Skyward earlier today! Please review the following information about your schedule and other important information to help support your transition to the new school year.

Check out the information below and please let me know if you have any questions!

Schedule Information

  • If you cannot view your schedule, this means the registration process is incomplete. Please come to East Campus anytime between 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to complete the process.
  • If you have any questions about your schedule, please contact your counselor as soon as possible. Click here to access counselor assignments, contact information, and links to book an appointment.
  • There may still be some adjustments to your schedule as we approach the first day of classes. As more students enroll or new staff are hired throughout the month of August, we may balance class sizes or change classroom assignments. Therefore, we suggest that you check your schedule frequently and use the Skyward app on your phone to review your schedule when touring campus or navigating the building during your first few days of class.
  • Study hall room assignments will be finalized the last week of August. If you have a study hall, check back in late August for your assigned room number.

Picture and Material Pick-Up Day - TODAY (Wednesday, August 7):
(Limited Appointments Still Available - CLICK HERE to register)
  • Remember, Picture and Material Pick-Up Day is TODAY (Wednesday, August 7) from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Reservations are still available for this afternoon. Click the link above to register for a time to come in, get your picture taken and address any other back-to-school tasks you need to complete.
  • Remember, you want to have your picture taken as soon as possible, so you have your new student ID for all the upcoming games and events scheduled before school even starts. Your ID gets you into OHS-hosted sporting events for free!

Touring Campus

  • There is limited access to Main Campus because of the HVAC and roofing replacement projects. However, you are welcome to tour campus and familiarize yourself with classroom locations during the following dates and times:
    • Tuesday, August 27 during Open House from 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Keep in mind, teachers will be available from 2:00-4:00 p.m., but campus will be open for self-guided tours until 6:00 p.m.

    • Friday, August 30 from 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. (enter through the Main Office)
  • We know our campus is large and it can be difficult for new students to navigate. Keep in mind, if your classroom assignment is a room in the 100s, 200s, or 300s, the class will meet at Main Campus. If the assignment is a room listed in the 500s or 600s, your class will meet at East Campus.

Initial Back to School Information for 2024-2025

Thursday, June 13, 2024

Hi Raccoons and Families!

I want to wish everyone a safe, fun, and relaxing summer vacation! I know the school year is always so busy for students and families, and while summer schedules fill up, I hope you can enjoy a little extra downtime and flexibility over the next couple of months.

Our School Year Kickoff Team has been meeting since January to ensure all our Raccoons have a successful start to the new year. While we don’t want to rush away time, we hope this early communication will help you plan ahead. Outlined below is information pertaining to all students and families about registration, picture day, schedule release, and information about the first days of school. This information is followed by grade-level details to help you have a successful start to the new year.

Counselor and Associate Principal assignments for next year have remained the same. Click here for contact information and to schedule appointments with our counselors. Please note that our counselors hold summer office hours and are available to meet on a limited basis over the next couple of months.

Finally, due to the construction project at Main Campus, all OHS operations have moved to East Campus. If you plan to come in and meet with a counselor or need to come to the office for any reason, you should come to East Campus at 915 Summit Avenue. We hope to move back over to Main Campus by August 19.

Have a great summer!
Jason
