Hi Raccoons and Families!
As we close in on the last month of the school year, I wanted to make sure we
are all on the same page regarding some of the all-school events and schedule
changes for the next few weeks. See the details below and let me know if you
have any questions!
I will reach out again in early June with last-minute details about the end of the school year and details about summer operations at OHS.
Let’s finish strong!
Go Raccoons!
There will be no school on Friday, May 22, and Monday, May 25. Our main office will be closed as well.
On Memorial Day, you can watch our Marching Band perform in the City’s Memorial Day parade. In addition, our Rho Kappa Students (Social Studies Honor Society) will host a brief Memorial Day recognition event on the OHS Facebook page live at 8am.
To help facilitate the distribution of Caps and Gowns for our seniors, Pride will move to the end of the day on Wednesday, May 27.
Our annual all-school cookout, DECA’s Grilling to Give, and community give-back event will occur on Friday, May 29. Students have received details about ordering food, and families are welcome to join us as well. This year, proceeds will benefit Lake Country Shoes that Fit and MDA.
Students with classes or learning opportunities off campus should take note of
the adjusted schedule and make plans accordingly.
Our entire community is welcome to join our school community as we recognize the individual commitments of the OHS Class of 2026. Come cheer on our seniors as we recognize their commitment to their post-high school plans.
- Tuesday, June 2
(8:55am in the Gale Douglas Fieldhouse) - Military Commitment Ceremony: Join us in
honoring members of the Class of 2026 who have decided to answer the call
to serve in our Nation’s military.
- Wednesday, June
3 (Livestream Event) - Career Readiness Recognition Event: Let’s
celebrate our students who have completed industry-aligned capstone
experiences and those heading into the workforce upon graduation.
- Thursday, June
4 (9:15am Raccoon Runway/Gale Douglas Fieldhouse Lobby) - 2 and 4 Year
College Parade: Our seniors heading to college will parade down Raccoon Runway
showcasing their college commitment to our entire school and community.
In addition, beginning on Friday, May 29, we will display our now annual Senior Tribute Signs along Stadium Drive. Swing by and check out the Class of 2026 and the impact each of them has made on our community.
Click here to check out our other celebrations planned for the Oconomowoc High School Class of 2026. Including the Senior Send Off Ceremony and Community Parades on Friday, June 5, and the Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, June 13.
Students will take their final exams on Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9. The last day of school is Wednesday, June 10, a required attendance day. However, having exams early allows teachers enough time to issue final grades prior to Graduation and the start of Summer School.
