The month of January is incredibly busy at OHS as we close out the first semester and complete the course request process for next year. Below are the important notes, events, and dates that will set you up for success this upcoming month.

Wednesday, January 8, 2025 - Program Information Night at East Campus: REGISTER HERE

Session 1 at 6:00 p.m. (OHS East Campus)
Session 2 at 7:00 p.m. (OHS East Campus)
 

Families and students are invited to learn more about the following programs supported by OHS:

• Dual-Credit and Start College Now (Future Juniors and Seniors)
• The International Baccalaureate Experience (Future Juniors)
• Work-Based Learning(All Students)
• Oconomowoc Virtual Learning Community - Online Classes (All Students)
• Global Scholars (All Students)
• ACT Prep (Future Juniors and Seniors)
• Military Pathway Supports (All Students)

Attendees can select one topic for the first session and a different topic for the second session.  Descriptions of the topics are outlined here and in the scheduling folder.

 

Thursday, January 16 & Friday, January 17 - Term 2 Exams (Adjusted Schedule)
Term 2 Exams will be administered on Thursday, January 16 and Friday, January 17. The adjusted schedule is linked above. Students are welcome to stay in the afternoon to study, make-up exams/previous work, and meet with teachers.

Students with offsite classes and work-based learning opportunities should take note of the adjusted schedule and plan to be at OHS at these assigned times. 

Semester 1 Report Cards will be published to Family Access on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

 

Monday, January 20, 2025 - No School
There is no school on Monday, January 20 as we prepare for the start of the new semester!

 

Tuesday, January 21, 2025 - First Day of the New Semester
We will kick off the new semester on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:20am. Please be sure to review your updated schedule before heading off to your first class of the day for the new semester.

This will also be a Community Meeting day. Everyone should report to their Block B/Hour 3 for Pride.

 

Wednesday, January 22 - College Admissions Panel: REGISTER HERE
6:30 p.m. (Oconomowoc Arts Center)

Admission officers from public and private universities will provide insight into the college application process and what they seek in applications. This information might help you determine what courses you plan to select and the programs you want to enroll in. This night is very popular and insightful to our students and families. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity! 

 

Monday, January 27-Wednesday, February 5 - Course Selection for 2025-2026
Current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be making their course selections for the 2025-2026 school year. Click here to view the communication sent out in early December outlining this process and the resources available to help with your selections.

After your courses are selected, we will create our master schedule and publish your individual student schedule in early August.
