Hey Raccoons!
Hey Raccoons!
Here is one last update for the 2019-2020 school year!
Tomorrow marks the last day of instruction for the year. Teachers
will reach out to students and work with them in small groups to address any
specific learning gaps or missing assignments from June 8-10, before posting
final grades by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10. While none of us could have
predicted the school year ending this way, I am proud of our entire community
for working through these challenges. We truly have a lot to be proud of!
As we wrap up the school year, I wanted to bring some important
reminders to your attention. Please check them out below, and let me know if
you have any questions.
Term 4 Grades—Important Deadlines
We understand that the online learning environment presented
several challenges to students, teachers, and families. As a reminder, families
can request that their child’s letter grade for a class be replaced with a
Pass. You can click
here to read the entire policy and process for requesting this change.
We are following this timeline for reporting grades for term 4:
- OHS
teachers enter final grades in Skyward by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10.
- Families
can request a P/F option from Thursday, June 11 through Wednesday, June 17
at 8:00 a.m.
- We
will override grades on Wednesday, June 17.
- Report
cards/transcripts will be issued on Thursday, June 18.
If you
have any questions about your final grades or this process, please contact your
counselor.
Ocon Pride Live!: A Community Send-Off to the Class of 2020
(Wednesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.)
Join us for a special two-hour virtual pep rally to honor the
Oconomowoc High School Class of 2020. We have been planning this event for a
couple months, and we are excited to present it to our community. This is a
great way to gain closure on the school year and pay a special tribute to our
seniors! You can watch the event by clicking this link: https://tinyurl.com/OHSLivestream
Last Chance to Return/Reclaim Items (Thursday, June 11 from 7:00
a.m.-5:00 p.m.)
Students will have one last chance to return and reclaim items.
Students who do not return school issued materials by 5:00 p.m. on June 11 will
be assessed a fee. Any items not reclaimed will be discarded unless other
arrangements are made. This includes:
- Chromebook
exchange for all 9th graders
- Textbook/library
item return
- Personal
items left in lockers/classrooms
This is also a chance for seniors who missed Cap and Gown Pick Up
on June 9 to pick up their materials.
Students should report directly to the Gale Douglas Field House at
a time convenient for you. You do not need to sign up to return/reclaim items.
However, we will promote physical distancing, so you may be asked to wait
outside if too many people arrive at the same time.
Registration for the 2020-2021 School Year
Registration for next year will begin in early July. Please watch
your email for details! Our tentative plan is to have Material Pick Up Day on
Thursday, August 6. We also anticipate publishing your schedules on that date,
as long as you have completed the registration process.
