Hey Raccoon Community!
Phew… we did it! We made it through the first day of classes! As
we work through the start of the year, ease into new routines, and set the
foundation for a successful year, please know that you can reach out to me at CurtisJ@oasd.org,
your associate principal, or counselor if you need anything. Every school year
is filled with its ups and downs. By living our core values of being GROUNDED
in our values and purpose, COMMITTED to our goals, and ACCOUNTABLE to
ourselves and each other, we are set up for success and ready to take on
whatever comes our way. Please know that we are here to support you through the
challenges and look forward to celebrating all your achievements in the year
ahead!

Back, Raccoons!
Summer
is just not the same without you! However, our welcome back video highlighted
how we are Raccoons 365 days a year. Check out how some of our community
members spent their summer and review the resources and opportunities available
to ensure you are set up for success this year.
Community Commitments
We are
1,674 Raccoons with 1,674 different personalities and goals. However, we unite
as one family to ensure our community and learning environment are productive

Raccoon Community Connection (RCC)
The
Raccoon Community Connection (RCC) is our daily announcements. This is where
you can find out about all the things happening at OHS. Announcements are live
streamed daily at 8:55am and the replay can be watched any time. Bookmark the
link below to access the live stream and replay of the RCC. Please note there
is no RCC on assembly days (September 3 and October 1).

Pride Protocol and Expectations
Pride is designated time to help us commit to our goals. Check out the RCC on Tuesday, September 7 at 8:55am, or watch the replay, to learn more about Pride from Mr. Frias. However, you can also read our Pride protocols by clicking below.
UPDATE (2pm on Monday 9/6): Due to a system upgrade, oconpride.org is not fully functioning. We will now teach about Pride on Monday, September 13. Students will report to homeroom for the week of September 7-September 10.

our Ocon Pride and attending school events is just one way to help us feel
connected as a community. Our biggest event of the year is Homecoming, which is
coming up the last week of September. Check out the details below and mark your
calendars for all the fun events that our Student Council has planned.
